Feeling a bit of melancholy this week; it happens to me…it is not a bad thing, nothing to be worried about; it’s actually part of my process…I have learned this through the years.  Let it be, sit still, know creativity will come, as it does…sweet timing…this life.

I had a life sized Raggedy Ann in my room growing up, it came from my Grandpa Nordin.  Don’t know what happened to her, but I found these thrifting and adopted them instantly…they live in the studio, they make me happy.

Image taken in my studio, shot by my lovely friend, shannonkelli; quote via the rain is gonna fall, the sun is gonna shine

I hope you are all having a great week.  The weather has been lovely and moderate, something boyfriend and I treasure; AJ & G have wished for a bit more heat as we got them a lil pool this weekend and they love it…we get one every year.  Sending smiles and sunshine.  Peace

Awe Hi Sweets-you have such a great bit of insight in that post -knowing the blues can come-we can ride them out and we will be ok. Knowing that is everything really. No need to freak out-just ride the wave. You are cool girl. I hope it passes soon and in the meantime you have Mr and Mrs Raggedy A and A to keep you company. Love and a very tight hug-

I have my down times as well. I’ve learned there’s nothing actually wrong with such moods and I’ve done a good job of explaining to my family, it’s nothing personal, just let me be blue and I’ll find my yellow soon enough. I had a Raggedy Anne myself, she was my little friend……..
    Thinking of you,

Hi Ladies, I wouldn’t say I am down, just quiet, just huddled in a bit, a little more tired and still. Thank you for the kind words and support :) you are both so very lovely and appreciated.

    smiles to you :)

I had an Ann as a girl but not as cute as this one. Love the quote. Hey I haven’t had time to email you my furniture ideas, hoepfully soon. I really want to redo my bedroom- not sure if big guy is game. You are california right? I wish you were near Portland Or. I’m taking my son to Portland to get him settled for an internship in downtown Portland and I’m going to meet Lucinda while I’m there. I’m flying out one the 12th or 13th, I think, haven’t made flight arraingements yet.
BTW I have an award for you on my blog. Come and get it when you can. Can you tell I consume a lot of caffeine?

Jana… nice to see you here today. I can’t wait to see your next wave of creativity, well actually, it’s right there in that shot of Ann & Andy. I had a full size growing up to, of both of them. About 8 years ago my mother shipped out a bunch of stuff from my past, they were included. They were so dirty and dusty I thought it couldn’t hurt to wash them right? I put them in the front load washer on delicate and they came out in pieces. That was one of the dumbest, most embarrassing moments of my life. Shhhhh… don’t tell anyone. ;)

    hugs to you!

Oh girl, it’s no surprise that you had not one but two—-so sorry they didn’t fair well in the washing machine—I can totally relate to that making sense :) you are lovely, nice to have you here.

What a lovely quote and aptly spoken by Jeremy Irons. I hope your creative funk is over and great to have such adorable and meaningful inspiration in your studio.
